How to install battletech mods2/17/2023 ![]() ![]() So my question is if I successfully install BEX onto my new PC and decide that it is still to much for me how do I uninstall the mod or switch over to the vanilla version? Please keep in mind as previously stated I'm a dumb ass with computers so please keep it simple and thanks in advance for any help offered. I have since up graded to a new PC and have the vanilla version installed and running but there is still that clan itch in the back of my head trying to get me to install BEX. So like a dumb ass I started deleting files which resulted in my not being able to start up BT any longer on that PC. So I decided to uninstall it but could not get the mod to uninstall, I looked around the internet and found people saying you had to alter entry's in your registry file which I DID NOT feel qualified to do. I assume that vanilla means I dont have to run a complete mod system, which is what I am trying to avoid. This can be done by manually deleting your Battletech Mods folder or by selecting ALL of the cleanup options on the Roguetech installer. How to use a 'vanilla' mech mod - posted in General BattleTech Discussion: So Ive been looking around and Ive found 2 of my favorite mechs of all time, the Warhammer and MadCat IIC available as vanilla mods for BattleTech. And it was fun but to honest found it bit overwhelming with all the choices and options it provides. A clean install means the removal of the mods folder, prior to updating to a newer version. I installed this previously when it was first released because like any other long term BT fan I wanted to have the clans included. ![]()
